GIOTA runs a custom, minimal image of Win IoT Enterprise supporting any custom software installation needs, just in case. But you may not need anything more than JADE, which is installed and ready for your custom applications. Custom builds are also available, so that GIOTA comes loaded with whatever your system needs to deliver real value.

GIOTA uses 3rd, 4th, or 5th generation Intel processors with 1-4 cores, speeds from 1.2 to 2.5 GHz, and Intel industry standard GPUs. Choose from 1 to 8 GB of DRAM and up to 16 GB of onboard flash memory to suit your next application.

Connectivity
GIOTA boasts a ton of peripheral connectivity to accomodate nearly any application.
With 7 total USB ports (2 x USB 3.0, 5 USB 2.0), a gigabit Ethernet port, a SATA port (in addition to the built-in SSD), an HDMI port, and LVDS port, the hardware is ready for your next system.
There's even a built-in RS-232 serial (3.3 V) port and I2C port available.
And it's worth noting that you can RDP directly into GIOTA - just peer-to-peer connect via ethernet, enter credentials, and you're in.

How It Works
GIOTA makes it easy to deliver high-performance industrial automation solutions, whether in the field, in your product, or on the production line
Step 1: Connect to GIOTA
There are two ways to work directly with GIOTA: either connect over ethernet via RDP (Remote Desktop Protocol) or directly plug in a mouse and keyboard. Either way you'll have full access to perform any custom installs, and with JADE installed you'll be able to quickly develop even sophisticated applications.
Step 2: Create Applications
With JADE installed and plugins supporting 1000s of devices, rich interfaces, remote control, and much more, you're in position to develop nearly any application you can imagine. When ready, simply set your application to auto-launch and configure JADE to run when GIOTA is powered.
Step 3: Deploy GIOTA
With your applications created and ready to go, you can now deploy your GIOTA. Whether in the field, in your product, or on the production line, you'll deploy with confidence knowing your application is running on battle-tested hardware and software.
Step 4: Celebrate Victory
With your GIOTA application deployed, it's time to celebrate your victory. Whether alone or with your team, you've done the hard work and it's time to let GIOTA fulfill its mission. It's built to be robust so you don't have to stress (after all, that would ruin the celebration).
